I contributed to the ebook (PDF) "The Most Effective Articles Of 71 of The World's Top Marketers", in which seventy one of the World's "top marketers" shared the most effective articles they ever wrote.  573 pages of ideas, tips and techniques.

Time warp...
The year: 1994. The web is catching on. But there aren't any web promotion companies yet.  So I start the first one, and ask Yahoo!  founder Jerry Yang to create a new Yahoo! directory category, since none exists.   Read the original 1994 email exchange between Jerry and I.  He and Yahoo! co-founder David Filo were Stanford grad students then.

In April of 1997 I was named by Websight Magazine as one of the 100 most influential people in the world on the Internet. I was honored to be listed among people like Jerry Yang and Mark Andreesen.  And oh yes, Thomas Dolby. No other person in the Web publicity and Link Building industry was on that list. I consider it validation of my approach and confirmation that one doesn't have to live in New York, Seattle  or San Francisco to have a significant industry impact. Of course, the magazine then proceeded to go out of business just after I bought 50 copies of the issue with me in it.
